Affinity purification resins, anti-His, GenScript®
Supplier: Genscript
Anti-His affinity resins are designed for purification of His-tagged protein. Composed of agarose and conjugated THE™ anti-His monoclonal antibody, they are compatible with most commonly used reagents at certain concentrations.
- Beads structure: 4% agarose
- Beads size: 45 to 165 μm, average 90 μm
- Binding capacity: greater than 3 mg of human C-reactive protein per ml of settled resin
- Specificity: N-terminal/C-terminal/internal/4 x His/5 x His/6 x His-tagged protein
- Storage: 2 to 8 °C (avoid freezing the resin)
- Binding condition: Tris or borate-buffered saline (pH 8 to 8,5) with 1 to 2 mM calcium chloride
- Elution methods: Acid, alkaline and peptide competitive elutions
His-tagged protein in the crude samples can bind to the anti-His monoclonal antibodies coupled with the agarose, and the non specific proteins can be eliminated by washing. As a result, the His-tagged protein will finally be eluted with high recovery. Moreover, this product can be used for immunoprecipitation of His-tagged protein.
Generally the resin can be recycled at least four times. If maintained properly, the resin may be recycled 10 times with minor binding capability loss.
