Sodium hydroxide 50 - 52% in water, colourless liquid for ion chromatography
Sodium hydroxide

Sodium hydroxide solution is a strong alkaline solution which may be suitable to make dyes, drugs, cellophane, rayon and bleaches.

Sodium hydroxide solution may be used to characterise the morphology of the produced colloids using UV-Visible spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy. It can be used to measure specific heats using calorimeter and to study the first stages of silver oxidation using voltammetry and ellipsometry, also suitable for petrochemical industry to remove impurities.
