Catalog Number: (BNUM0069-50)
Supplier: Biotium
Description: Recognizes a 67 kDa glycoprotein, which is identified as CD33. It is a transmembrane protein of the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) family. It belongs to the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitory motif (ITIM)-containing molecules able of recruiting protein tyrosine phosphatases SHP-1 and SHP-2 to signal assemblies; these ITIMs are also used for ubiquitin-mediated removal of the receptor from the cell surface. CD33 is expressed on cells of myelomonocytic lineage, binds sialic acid residues in N- and O-glycans on cell surfaces, and is a therapeutic target for acute myeloid leukemia. CD33 is expressed on myeloid progenitors, monocytes, granulocytes, dendritic cells and mast cells. It is absent on platelets, lymphocytes, erythrocytes and hematopoietic stem cells.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-9196R-FITC)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: IGSF3, also known as V8 or EWI-3, is a 1,214 amino acid protein. Widely expressed with predominant expression in kidney, placenta and lung, IGSF3 localizes to the membrane and contains an N-terminal signal peptide, eight immunoglobulin (Ig) domains and a transmembrane segment. IGSF3 exhibits strong sequence and structural similarity to CD101 (32% identity), a leukocyte surface protein with seven Ig domains that is believed to play a role in T-cell activation. Despite the structural similarities between IGSF3 and CD101, IGSF3 is not expressed in peripheral blood lymphocytes and does not appear to participate in an immune function. Based on its subcellular localization and the presence of the eight Ig domains, IGSF3 is hypothesized to function as a surface receptor or as a cell adhesion molecule.

Description: The tetraspanin family is a group of cell surface proteins that regulate cell development, activation, growth and motility. Each member contains four hydrophobic domains and participates in the mediation of signal transduction. NET-5, also known as TSPAN9 (tetraspanin 9), is a 239 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that belongs to the tetraspanin (TM4SF) family. NET-5 forms a complex with GPVI in the tetraspanin microdomains on the platelet surface, and is encoded by a gene that maps to human chromosome 12p13.33. Chromosome 12 encodes over 1,100 genes and comprises approximately 4.5% of the human genome. Chromosome 12 is associated with a variety of diseases and afflictions, including hypochondrogenesis, achondrogenesis, Kniest dysplasia, Noonan syndrome and trisomy 12p, which causes facial developmental defects and seizure disorders.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-11286R-CY3)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Lipocalin-1 is a secretory protein that is highly expressed in fluids covering epithelial surfaces such as tears and respiratory secretions. This major lipid-binding protein in tears is also called tear lipocalin (TL) and von Ebner’s gland protein (VEG), as it is also a major secretion of these lingual salivary glands. In addition to lacrimal glands and lingual glands, Lipocalin-1 is secreted by nasal mucosal glands, secretory glands of the tracheobronchial tract, sweat glands, mammary glands, adrenal gland, prostate, thymus, testis and corticotrophs of the pituitary gland. Specifically, Lipocalin-1 functions to stabilize the lipid film of human tear fluid by removing harmful lipids from the human corneal surface and delivering them to the aqueous phase of tears. Lipocalin-1 may also function as a transporter of hydrophobic molecules such as bitter substances on the tongue.

Description: Human IgA (immunoglobulin A) is a glycosylated protein of 160 kDa and is produced as a monomer or as a J chain linked dimer. Monomeric IgA constitutes 5-15 % of the serum immunoglobulins whereas dimeric IgA is localised to mucosa surfaces such as saliva, gastrointestinal secretion, bronchial fluids and milk. Mucosal IgA plays a major role in host defence by neutralising infectious agents at mucosal surfaces. The production is usually local and antigen specific IgA producing B cells can be found in regions under the lamina propria where they mature into dimeric IgA producing plasma cells. IgA deficiency is the most common immunodeficiency that may affect both serum and mucosal produced IgA.
