Description: Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 4 (CLIC4) is a 253 amino acid single-pass membrane protein that localizes to both the nucleus and the cytoplasm and contains one GST C-terminal domain. CLIC4 is expressed in various tissues and exhibits an intracellular vesicular pattern in Panc-1 cells (pancreatic cancer cells). CLIC4 acts as a monomer which is able to form selective ion channels in target proteins, thus facilitating the transport of chloride and other ions. CLIC4 is believed to have a role in apoptosis and is able to translocate to the nucleus under stress conditions. CLIC4 has alternate cellular functions like a potential role in angiogenesis or in maintaining apical-basolateral membrane polarity during mitosis and cytokinesis.

Description: Nuclear receptor that binds DNA as a monomer to ROR response elements (RORE) containing a single core motif half-site 5'-AGGTCA-3' preceded by a short A-T-rich sequence. Key regulator of cellular differentiation, immunity, peripheral circadian rhythm as well as lipid, steroid, xenobiotics and glucose metabolism. Considered to have intrinsic transcriptional activity, have some natural ligands like oxysterols that act as agonists (25-hydroxycholesterol) or inverse agonists (7-oxygenated sterols), enhancing or repressing the transcriptional activity, respectively. Recruits distinct combinations of cofactors to target gene regulatory regions to modulate their transcriptional expression, depending on the tissue, time and promoter contexts. Regulates the circadian expression of clock genes such as CRY1, ARNTL/BMAL1 and NR1D1 in peripheral tissues and in a tissue-selective manner. Competes with NR1D1 for binding to their shared DNA response element on some clock genes such as ARNTL/BMAL1, CRY1 and NR1D1 itself, resulting in NR1D1-mediated repression or RORC-mediated activation of the expression, leading to the circadian pattern of clock genes expression. Therefore influences the period length and stability of the clock. Involved in the regulation of the rhythmic expression of genes involved in glucose and lipid metabolism, including PLIN2 and AVPR1A. Negative regulator of adipocyte differentiation through the regulation of early phase genes expression, such as MMP3. Controls adipogenesis as well as adipocyte size and modulates insulin sensitivity in obesity. In liver, has specific and redundant functions with RORA as positive or negative modulator of expression of genes encoding phase I and Phase II proteins involved in the metabolism of lipids, steroids and xenobiotics, such as SULT1E1.

Description: Human ADP-ribose pyrophosphatase NUDT9 belongs to a superfamily of Nudix hydrolases that catabolize potentially toxic compounds in the cell. NUDT9 alpha protein is targeted highly specifically to mitochondria, whereas the predicted protein of the NUDT9 beta transcript, which is missing this sequence, exhibits no clear subcellular localization. Investigation of the physical and enzymatic properties of NUDT9 indicates that it is functional as a monomer, optimally active at near neutral pH, and that it requires divalent metal ions and an intact Nudix motif for enzymatic activity.

Description: The C17.8 antibody specifically reacts with the p40 subunit of IL-12, as free monomer, as a homodimer, or as a part of the p70 dimer. C17.8 seems to neutralize the activity of mouse IL-12 and IL-23. IL-12 is the p70 heterodimer of p35 and p40, expressed by the macrophages, dendritic cells, and monocytes. The C17.8 antibody cross-reacts with IL-23, since IL-23 also contains one p40 subunit.

Description: Bactericidal permeability-increasing protein(BPI for short), is a secreted protein which belongs to the BPI/LBP/Plunc superfamily, BPI/LBP family. It exists as a monomer or a disulfide-linked homodimer. The cytotoxic action of BPI is limited to many species of Gram-negative bacteria. This specificity may be explained by a strong affinity of the very basic N-terminal half for the negatively charged lipopolysaccharides that are unique to the Gram-negative bacterial outer envelope. BPI has antibacterial activity against the Gram-nagative bacterium P.aeruginosa, and this activity is inhibited by LPS from P.aeruginosa.

Description: SARS-CoV-2 Recombinant Nucleocapsid Protein, aa1-419 is expressed in HEK293 cells and is one of four structural proteins encoded by the SARS-CoV-2 genome. The Nucleocapsid Protein is transcribed from the viral “N” gene and is the protein that interacts with RNA to form the nucleocapsid. The protein forms a homo-oligomer, and both the monomer and the oligomer can interact with RNA. This protein also interacts with the membrane protein (protein M) after infection of the host cell during packaging of the positive-strand viral genome RNA into the ribonucleocapsid during virion assembly.

Description: Serpin Peptidase Inhibitor, Clade A ( alpha-1 Antiproteinase, Antitrypsin), Member 4 (Serpin A4) is a member of the Serpin family. Serpin A4 exists as a monomer and some homodimers. Serpin A4 is expressed by the liver and secreted in plasma. Serpin A4 is a regulator of vascular homeostasis capable of controlling a wide spectrum of biological actions in the cardiovascular and renal systems. It can inhibit intracellular reactive oxygen species formation in cultured cardiac and renal cells. In addition, Serpin A4 has anti-inflammatory effect. Heparin blocks kallistatin's complex formation with tissue kallikrein and abolishes its inhibitory effect on tissue kallikrein's activity.

Description: Interleukin-2 receptor subunit beta (IL2RB) is also known as CD122, which Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 4 subfamily. IL2RB contains 1 fibronectin type-III domain. IL2RB / CD122 is involved in T cell-mediated immune responses, is present in 3 forms with respect to ability to bind interleukin 2. The low affinity form is a monomer of the alpha subunit and is not involved in signal transduction. The intermediate affinity form consists of an alpha/beta subunit heterodimer, while the high affinity form consists of an alpha/beta/gamma subunit heterotrimer. Both the intermediate and high affinity forms of the receptor are involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis and transduction of mitogenic signals from interleukin 2.

Description: NR5A1 is an important regulator of steroidogeneisis which is present in human skin and its appendages. It plays a role in regulating p450scc expression with TReP-132 and CBP/p300. The protein encoded by this gene is a transcriptional activator involved in sex determination. The encoded protein binds DNA as a monomer. Defects in this gene are a cause of XY sex reversal with or without adrenal failure as well as adrenocortical insufficiency without ovarian defect. Description: This gene is a member of the regulatory factor X gene family, which encodes transcription factors that contain a highly-conserved winged helix DNA binding domain. The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to regulatory factors X1, X3, X4, and X5. It is a transcriptional activator that can bind DNA as a monomer or as a heterodimer with other RFX family members. This protein can bind to cis elements in the promoter of the IL-5 receptor alpha gene. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, and both variants utilize alternative polyadenylation sites.
