Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Chloride Intracellular Channel Protein 2 (CLIC2) is a critical component of all living cells; it regulatescellular traffic of Chloride ion and it can be inserted into membranes anf form chloride ion channels. Membrane insertion seems to be redox-regulated and may occur only under oxydizing conditions, channel activity depends on the pH. CLIC2 is involved in regulating membrane potential and organic solute transport. CLIC2 modulates the activity of RYR2 and inhibits Calcium influx. CLIC2 can be detected in the adult brain, liver, lung, heart, stomach, spleen and testis. It is expressed in fetal liver and adult skeletal muscle. CLIC2 is a potential candidate for one of many diseases linked to Xq28.

Catalog Number: (PRSI91-186)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Annexin A5 (ANXA5) is a member of the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. ANXA5 is an anticoagulant protein by acting as an indirect inhibitor of the thromboplastin-specific complex. ANXA5 is also a protein kinase C and phospholipase A2 inhibitor. It participate in inflammation, cellular signal transduction, growth and differentiation. ANXA5 binding to phosphatidylserine and sulfatide to regulates coagulability in the blood stream. It also protects sinsuoidal endothelial cells from ischemia reperfusion damage. ANXA5 is important for normal CFTR chloride channel activity.

Catalog Number: (PRSI5421)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: TMEM16B Antibody: Calcium-activated chloride channels (CaCC) are present in many cell types and mediate physiological functions such as epithelial secretion, sensory signal transduction, and smooth muscle contraction. Subunits of these CaCC's include the transmembrane proteins TMEM16A and TMEM16B. TMEM16B is predicted to have eight transmembrane domains with both the amino and carboxy termini in the cytoplasm and is expressed in several tissues including olfactory sensory neurons as well as photoreceptors in mammalian retina. Like TMEM16A, TMEM16B is thought to form at least part of CaCC's but has different biophysical characteristics such as voltage dependence and unitary conductance.

Description: TMEM16A Antibody: Calcium-activated chloride channels (CaCC) are present in many cell types and mediate physiological functions such as epithelial secretion, sensory signal transduction, and smooth muscle contraction. Subunits of these CaCC's include the transmembrane proteins TMEM16A and TMEM16B. TMEM16A is expressed in epithelial cells of the kidney and lung, pancreas, and sensory neurons and its mRNA is seen in foregut, airway epithelia, and tracheal smooth muscle; mice lacking TMEM16A fail to survive past ten days and show aerophagia and little weight gain. TMEM16A is also overexpressed or amplified in multiple cancers associated with poor survival such as oral cancers and gastrointestinal stromal tumors, suggesting the development of CaCC modulators may be a viable therapeutic strategy.
