Listeria Swab is sterilised by irradiation.
Supplier: STEMCELL Technologies
Description: Noggin binds to and antagonizes bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) ligands of the transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β) family. Noggin supports maintenance of undifferentiated human embryonic stem cells cultured in mouse embryonic fibroblast (MEF)-conditioned medium (Chaturvedi et al.), and promotes dopaminergic differentiation of embryonic stem cells and subsequent survival of dopamine neurons (Chiba et al.). Noggin is essential for development of ectodermal structures including neural tube, tooth, hair follicle, and eye, as well as patterning of mesodermal somites and skeletal structures. It also influences chondrogenesis, osteogenesis, and joint formation (Krause et al.).

Supplier: Thermo Scientific
Description: Ergonomically designed, the Thermo Scientific™ Multifuge X1/X1R Pro series of bench top centrifuges have a touch screen interface that enables easier programming for quicker results, and the ability to access and track all runs, rotor life and centrifuge health information for maximum versatility and power at every turn.

Supplier: OHAUS
Description: Universal platforms: Ideal for mounting flask clamps, test tube racks, and bottle clamps. The two-tier braces allow stacking of platforms with a 25,4 cm clearance (available for select sizes). An optional non-skid rubber mat can be placed on the platform for an added non-slip surface. The platform is constructed of type 304 stainless steel.

Supplier: THERMO BIOPROCESS DIVISION
Description: BioProcess Container™ (BPC™) systems include two- and three-dimensional single-use bags for packaging, storage and transport of 50 to 200 litre volumes of media. Manufactured from medical-grade plastics (cGMP compliant) and configured with ports, tubing and fittings, BPC™ systems provide an efficient means for sterile liquid handling in research and production settings.

Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Noggin is also known as NOG, SYM1, SYNS1 and is a secreted homodimeric glycoprotein whose scaffold contains a cystine-knot topology similar to that of BMPs.Secreted Noggin probably remains close to the cell surface due to its binding of heparincontaining proteoglycans.Noggin inhibits TGF-β signal transduction by binding to TGF-β family ligands and preventing them from binding to their corresponding receptors. Noggin plays a key role in neural induction by inhibiting BMP4, along with other TGF-β signaling inhibitors such as chordin and follistatin. Mouse knockout experiments have demonstrated that noggin also plays a crucial role in bone development, joint formation, and neural tube fusion. During embryogenesis, Noggin antagonizes specific BMPs at defined times, for example, during neural tube, somite and cardiomyocyte growth and patterning. During skeletal development, Noggin prevents chondrocyte hyperplasia, thus allowing proper formation of joints. During culture of human embryonic stem cells (hESC) or neural stem cells under certain conditions, addition of Noggin to antagonize BMP activity may allow stem cells to proliferate while maintaining their undifferentiated state, or alternatively, to differentiate into dopaminergic neurons Noggin also appears to maintain adult stem cell populations in vivo, for example, maintaining neural stem cells within the hippocampus.

Supplier: MERCK LIFE SCIENCE
Description: The current editions of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP), European Pharmacopoeia (EP) and Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP) include harmonized methods for the microbiological examination of non-sterile pharmaceutical products. These methods address the total aerobic count (TAMC and TYMC) as well as the test for specified micro-organisms. Harmonized methods facilitate and accelerate the release of pharmaceutical products.

Catalog Number: (PRSI4555)
Supplier: ProSci Inc.
Description: Ambra1 Antibody: Autophagy, the process of bulk degradation of cellular proteins through an autophagosomic-lysosomal pathway is important for normal growth control and may be defective in tumor cells. It is involved in the preservation of cellular nutrients under starvation conditions as well as the normal turnover of cytosolic components. Beclin-1, a principal regulator of autophagosome formation, is in turn regulated by Ambra1. Ambra1 associates with Beclin-1 through a region near its center as determined by yeast two-hybrid assay. Null mutations in this gene in mice resulted in embryonic lethality with severe neural tube defects associated with autophagy impairment, accumulation of ubiquitinated proteins, unbalanced cell proliferation and excessive apoptotic death. Furthermore, down-regulation of Ambra1 in cultured cells though RNA interference decreased the level of rapamycin- and nutrient starvation-induced autophagy. Multiple isoforms of Ambra1 are known to exist.
