Description: ADAMTS10 is a member of the ADAMs family of proteinases with Thrombospondin motifs. The catalytic site of ADAMTS10 is typical of the metalloproteinase catalytic domains, with an HExxHxxxxxH sequence, perhaps giving these enzymes some shared specificity. ADAMTS10 is closest in homology to ADAMTS6, sharing 53% overall identity. Functional mutations in ADAMTS10 have been linked to Weill Marchesani syndrome, a connective tissue disorder marked by fibrillin 1 misprocessing. ADAMTS10 has also been reported to be over expressed in breast cancer tissues and cell lines.

Description: TULP2 is a member of a family of tubby-like (TULP) proteins which share a conserved C terminal region of approximately 200 amino acid residues. It is strongly expressed in testis and is expressed in the retina. It is also expressed in cancer cell lines.

Description: MuRF1, is a nuclear protein that interacts with SMT3b and the large myofibrillar protein Titin. In muscle cells, MuRF2 (RFN29) regulates gene expression and protein turnover. It localizes to the cytoplasm, but under atrophic conditions it is detected in the nucleus. MuRF2 can form oligomers with various other proteins, including Titin and Myosin. MuRF3, also designated tripartite motif-containing 54 (TRIM54) or ring finger protein 30 (RNF30), interacts with tubulin and stabilizes microtubules duing myotube formation. It is a cytoplasmic protein the localizes to the Z-lines in skeletal muscles, while MuRF2 localizes to the sarcomeric M-band in cardiomyocytes. MuRF3 shares 77% and 65% sequence identity with MuRF1 and MuRF2, respectively. MuRF1-3 share a conserved N-terminal RING domain and zinc-binding B-box motif, and two coiled-coil dimerization motif boxes, in their central regions.

Description: The Sp transcription factor family includes Sp1, Sp2, Sp3 (SPR-2) and Sp4 (SPR-1). Sp transcription factors share similar structures but do not share simi-lar functions. All four proteins contain a highly conserved DNA-binding domain composed of three zinc fingers at the C-terminus. Sp family members bind the consensus sequence GGGGCGGGGC and other closely related sequences which are known as GC boxes. Sp1, Sp3 and Sp4 share a high affinity for GC boxes while Sp2 does not. Sp2 only weakly binds to GT boxes. Sp1, Sp2 and Sp3 are ubiquitously expressed, while Sp4 is abundantly expressed in brain with limited expression in other tissues. Sp1 and Sp3, but not Sp2 or Sp4, interact with E2, a regulatory element for the ∫4 subunit of neuronal nicotinic acetylcholine receptors. Sp3 is the only Sp member to inhibit Sp1 and Sp4 media
