Description: Recognizes 78 kDa moesin protein. Moesin, a member of the talin-4.1 superfamily, is a linking protein of the sub-membranous actin cytoskeleton. It is expressed in variable amounts in cells of different phenotypes such as macrophages, lymphocytes, fibroblastic, endothelial, epithelial, and neuronal cell lines but not in blood cells. The ERM proteins, ezrin, radixin, and moesin are involved in a variety of cellular functions, such as cell adhesion, migration, and the organization of cell surface structures, and are highly homologous, both in protein sequence and in functional activity, with merlin/schwannomin, a neurofibromatosis-2-associated tumor-suppressor protein. Cell lines of epithelial and mesothelial origin contain both moesin and radixin whereas cells of endothelial and lymphoid origin express moesin.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-10153R-A680)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Detected at the highest levels in peripheral blood leukocytes and breast cancer cell lines. Found in leukocytes of the myeloid lineage, with the strongest expression observed in granulocytes and no detectable expression in lymphocytes. Expressed in thymic epithelial cells and fibroblasts. Belongs to the SECTM family.
UOM: 1 * 100 µl

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-0823R-FITC)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Granulins have possible cytokine-like activity. They may play a role in inflammation, wound repair, and tissue remodeling. Granulin-4 promotes proliferation of the epithelial cell line A431 in culture while granulin-3 acts as an antagonist to granulin-4, inhibiting the growth.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: SLAMF7 contains one Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. Isoform 1 mediates NK cell activation through a SAP-independent extracellular signal-regulated ERK-mediated pathway. It may play a role in lymphocyte adhesion. Isoform 3 does not mediate any activation. SAP can bind the cytoplasmic tail of isoform 1 when phosphorylated in the presence of Fyn (in vitro). SLAMF7 is expressed in spleen, lymph node, peripheral blood leukocytes, bone marrow, small intestine, stomach, appendix, lung and trachea. Expression was detected in NK cells, activated B-cells, NK-cell line but not in promyelocytic, B-, or T-cell lines. The isoform 3 is expressed at much lower level than isoform 1. There are three named isoforms.

Supplier: Bioss
Description: JWA is a four-transmembrane environmental responsive protein which binds to the CC chemokine recepor 5 (CCR5), a major co-receptor for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). JWA is involved in environmental stress-responsive pathways in K562 cells, an erythroleukemia cell line derived from patients with chronic myeloid leukemia. Environmental stressors to K562 cells such as heat shock, a higher temperature than the ideal body temperature of the organism from which the cell line was derived, and oxidative stress, the production of oxygen-centered free radicals, regulate and increase the expres-sion of JWA. This response to environmental stressors suggests similiarity of JWA to heat shock protein 70 (HSP70), which is upregulated by heat stress and toxic chemicals.
