Supplier: VWR Chemicals
Description: Lactic acid 90% ≥90% in aqueous solution, GPR RECTAPUR®, pure
Supplier: MP Biomedicals
Description: L-threonine is classified as an essential amino acid. Synthesised from homoserine phosphate by threonine synthase or from acetaldehyde and glycine by serine hydroxy methyltransferase.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-5544R-HRP)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: PDK1 (3 Phosphoinositide Dependent Protein Kinase 1) phosphorylates AGC kinases. PDK1 activates conventional PKC and PKC zeta through phosphorylation of critical threonine residues in the activation loop. PDK1 also phosphorylates Protein Kinase B (PKB) at threonine 308 in the presence of phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate. Active Akt inactivates Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 (GSK3), eventually leading to the dephosphorylation and activation of glycogen synthase and the stimulation of glycogen synthesis. Because of the role that PDK plays in insulin-induced glycogen synthesis and PKC activation it is a potentially important target for metabolic drug research. There are three named isoforms.

Description: The Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaM kinases) comprise a structurally related subfamily of serine/threonine kinases which include CaMKI, CaMKII and CaMKIV. CaMKII is a ubiquitously expressed serine/threonine protein kinase that is activated by Ca²⁺and calmodulin (CaM) and has been implicated in regulation of the cell cycle and transcription. There are four CaMKII isozymes designated å, , © and ∂, which may or may not be co-expressed in the same tissue type. CaMKIV is stimulated by Ca²⁺ and CaM but phosphorylation by a CaMK is also required for full activation. Stimulation of the T cell receptor CD3 Signalling complex with an anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody leads to a 10 to 40 fold increase in CaMKIV activity. An additional kinase, CaMKK, functions to activate CaMKI through the specific phosphorylation of the regulatory threonine residue at position 177.

Description: The HUNK (hormonally upregulated Neu-associated kinase) protein, also designated MAK-V in mouse, has been identified as a novel SNF1-related serine/threonine kinase. The human HUNK gene localizes to chromosome 21q22 and encodes a protein with nucleocytoplasmic distribution and localizes to the centrosome. Overexpression of the HUNK protein associates with approximately 50% of breast carcinomas, and may provide diagnostic-prognostic value as a molecular marker. Serine/threonine-protein kinase SNF1-like kinase 2 (SIK) phosphorylates Ser-794 of IRS1 in insulin-stimulated adipocytes, which may modulate the efficiency of insulin signal transduction. SIK is activated by phosphorylation on Thr-175 by STK11 in complex with STE20-related adapter-α and CAB39.
